Sun is Sink — A Pico-8 love letter to Baba Is You — Tiny Baba-Like Puzzle Experiment

Ah yeah, good catch for the key! 😆 At this stage, even though there’s a (hopefully) more interesting intended walkthrough, this level is mainly a proof of concept showcasing all the mechanics I’ve implemented (this prototype was developed to be easy to extend, but I’m really not a game designer nor a level designer! 😬 I should probably tuck « Ruby Is Win » away in a corner to prevent that shortcut. Thanks for the feedback!
As for Cam, that’s actually the most hidden and surprising Easter egg in this (unique) level. It relies on a mechanic that doesn’t even exist in Baba Is You… Since it’s called Cam, maybe it’s worth thinking outside the screen? 😉 There’s also another Easter egg that’s much easier to find—it plays with Pico-8’s “secret” alternate color palette.
And about the Mac version’s file size—yeah, all Pico-8 Mac exports tend to be way bigger than their Windows/Linux counterparts. Maybe they need to bundle extra libraries? Not sure.
